Miyavi being hyper & family photos!!!

Miyavi broke down on stage!!

And here are some photos of Miyavi and his family....

Miyavi and Lovelie, his first daughter. :)

Miyavi with Jewelie and Lovelie!

Jewelie and Lovelie.

Miyavi and Lovelie

I think this is Miyavi and his second daughter Jewelie.

Jewelie and Lovelie look so similar! I don't know which is which 0_0

 That's Melody, Miyavi's wife!

Jewelie and Lovelie... What's cooking? XD Kawaii!!!

Happy family :)
I am happy for him, but I have to say that I am disappointed that he does not carry that same visual kei looks. But what can I expect from a 31-year old guy, right?
I guess people will change once they have their own family...

VK2U Logo!!!

My blog is getting better views lately, so I decided to start following blogs XDD
I've had my blog's logo done! Look! Simple, isn't it? XDD

I'm happy with what I do, so hopefully my blog will continue its journey for years to come!~ :)

But I still need your help to make this blog better!!

Konnichiwa!

Konnichiwa! How are you people? Today I want to update about my life...

I will graduate soon!! I'm so happy ^^

But I have yet to know the date of my graduation ceremony. I guess I'll just have to wait.

I have been planning to continue my studies in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language), and continue to further my studies until I reach my goal: JAPAN. However, looking at me financially, it's quite impossible. So I have decided to work in Air Asia as a cabin crew (stewardess). I want to go to Japan no matter what! It is my lifetime goal! Even though it will be a bit of a struggle, it doesn't matter. I'll do my best! Gambarimasu!

However, people never ask whether I want to go there on vacation, or actually live there and become a citizen. Well, first of all, YES, I WANT TO STAY THERE!! Even my dad wants to stay there too. So there is no problem in terms of family agreement. But I am still concerned about my mother and my little brother. They may not want to leave Malaysia... This is where it gets somewhat twisted. I don't know. I think I will figure that out soon when I already have the tickets in hand.

What do I do when I get there? I really want to be a Japanese musician. Maybe a part-time. And if I am really going to migrate there, it's time for me to search for friends from the place I'm going to stay. I am not good at making friends, and this makes it harder for me to migrate (and to pass as a stewardess). But for my own sanity's sake, I will do it, putting my shyness and negativity aside!!!

Let's just hope everything will run smoothly as planned.

P/S: Anyone have any advise for me? Please share your thoughts!

New Plushy!

Yesterday I bought a new plushy! It's Mamegoma!!!

Cute, isn't it? ^^

It's sold on bundle, with its tag still on. I guess it's unwanted or has sat on the shelves of a supermarket for too long. It's not dirty, it's just a little crumpled. Probably because of the weight put on it (maybe something heavy was put on it for quite a long time, hence the crumple). But it doesn't damage its appearance at all. Even my dad said it's cute! ^^

I have absolutely no regrets of buying this plushy! It's one of the best plushy I ever owned! I love it so much! ^^

Holiday at Sabah

Me and my family went for the best rendezvous ever at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. It's a magical place, so relaxing and the scenery is breathtaking. The place is a little bit rustic, which I like, because it's as if I'm back in the 1990's in my adult form, and it made me feel different. Like I'm a different person altogether. It's as though the ferry is the time machine!! So Doraemon-like. Hahahaha....But I have to say, that place changed my opinion of myself and the world. Well, at least a little bit. It's a relief now that I know there is still a magical place like that in Malaysia. I feel better after the visit.

And...... We went shopping at Kota Kinabalu!!! I shopped a few of my makeup supplies and I got the Hada Labo whitening lotion that I've always wanted!!! ♥♥♥ (≧▽≦) ♥♥♥ I'll do a review on it soon okay? (≧◡≦)v

I also bought some ear caps for my new phone.

I also bought a biscuit-shaped ear cap and a bling ear cap for my phone so I can change it according to my mood. (≧◡≦)

Also, I must say there are lots of cheap high-quality stuff at Centrepoint Kota Kinabalu. It's so fun there. It's a shopping haven!!!

To those who haven't been there yet, YOU SHOULD!!! You will then feel the difference. But, on the other hand, maybe it's just me, because I haven't been on a holiday at places other than West Malaysia for years. ಥ_ಥ

Vaseline Review

This is the BEST lipbalm EVER. I have had this chappy lips problem ever since I was a child, because of an old (and bad) habit of biting my lip and tearing off the skin on my lips... Forcefully. I am so used to the pain that I don't really feel my lips bleed until I taste the blood on my lips.

So, what does this product do to help us? These are some reviews, tried and tested by people all over the world.

  • It relieves chapped lips. I wear it for a few days non-stop (I even wear it at night before I sleep. I never left my lips without Vaseline layered thick on it. Another reason is to avoid myself from biting my lip again), and when worn overnight, my lips are ready for lipstick for one whole day. I recommend Nyx Lip Cream because they do not dry my lips at all! It's GREAT!!! I never dreamt I could wear any lipstick WITHOUT lipbalm! Actually you can also put on Vaseline first (a thin layer) and then add the lipstick. It plumps, moisturizes and keeps me from biting my lips. An essential for me!!!
  • It helps to quicken the healing of blisters. I had a blister on my forefinger after cutting some meat using a wooden-handled knife. My aunt told me to put Vaseline. In two days, the blister is gone!! Thumbs up to Vaseline (and my aunt!)!!
  • Removes makeup quite well! Smother it on your face (especially areas with heavy makeup) and rub the makeup off with your fingers. Then wash it off with a foaming facial wash. It works well!
  • If there are any problem areas on your skin (such as dry, flaky, scaly skin), rub in some Vaseline on the area. Vaseline is 100% pure petroleum jelly, hence it locks in moisture and continues to moisten the affected area. You can use it anywhere on your body. Best use it right after shower because your skin is still moist from the shower.
  • It also works as an eyeshadow base! Put a VERY THIN layer on your eyelid, and put on your eyeshadow. It will appear to be more vibrant. Cool, huh!?
  • Some also say that Vaseline helps to shrink pimples. I'm not sure on this one, but I saw a lot of people's blogs repeating the statement. Maybe it is true?
  • A tip for manicure lovers! Apply Vaseline on the skin surrounding your nails. If you accidentally painted that area, you can remove it pretty easily with the help of Vaseline! ^^ Love it!
  • It can help heal any cuts or scratches too! Put on some Vaseline directly on the wound. It avoids bacteria from infecting the area. Pretty much works like a plaster equipped with moisturizing agent.
  • Another wonderful tip! It can make your lashes LONGER~~ I have yet to try this because I keep on forgetting to put it on my lashes each night. I have very short and sparse lashes, so I REALLY hope this will work! It won't leave your eyes sticky in the morning because it had time to work overnight. Your lashes will also be easier to curl, and the mascara will stick better.

No matter what, Vaseline is the best moisturizing agent in the universe!! Apart from cheap and super-moisturizing, it has multiple uses which all of us will find very useful. It's only RM4.50 for a small jar! Try it! You won't regret it!

(edit) It's true!! I've used Vaseline on my lashes for 2 weeks and now it's noticeably longer!!! Try it!!!

Halloween Makeup!!!

Halloween 2012 was great fun for me and my best friend!! We did our makeup and dressed extra wild that night, and it was so much fun parading and catching everyone's attention. Of course, there are lots more people who wear costumes and makeup too, and some even wished us Happy Halloween! Most of them are foreigners, of course. Malaysians don't really celebrate this kind of stuff.

And I got the pictures!! ^^

Here are some I'd love to share.....

A scenery where a witch has just revived a freshly-stitched rag doll. XD
So messy...

Before the broken doll look was applied.

Cool makeup, huh??? She really looked like a living dead!!

This was when we were having a drink... Around midnight! And we saw Siti Nurhaliza... The Datin next to her was shocked at the sight of us (we were sitting at the back, very dark and indeed spooky). Hahaha!

I was applying the cracks!

I think this is the best picture of my bff. A psycho stitched-up rag doll!!

There are actually lots more photos but my friend accidentally deleted it. And they can't be recovered... So these are the best pictures of the few that we have. (T-T) It's a valuable memory though. Too bad it can't be recorded.

I did all the makeup. My friend's face was round, and it made her rag doll look complete. Dolls are supposed to be cute, right? I wasn't planning to be a witch... It's because I feel like my face is unsuitable to carry a dolly look. That is why I added the cracks a little later because I thought it was too plain... However, I have to say, my bff at that time was my masterpiece!! Everyone looked and complimented her. I was a bit jealous but proud at the same time, but soon, I realized that was why I intended to be a witch in the first place! She was MY rag doll. I created her. I gave her life. And I did the stitches (though it was her idea!)! Mwahahahaha!!! And so, the proudness overpowered the jealousy in me. ;p

However, I was kind of disappointed that our ordered hair chalk didn't arrive on time, so we weren't able to chalk our hair that night. Also, my armor ring is still not posted by my friend. How pitiful! But nevermind, I'm sure we'll do the same next year, except it's going to be much, MUCH better than this one!!!

Overall, we both had a great time, and I hope for the better, soon enough. (^-^)

Nyx Lip Cream: Absolute Red Review

This is a great find!! A lip color which is not a lipstick nor a lipgloss. It's a lip cream; it's smooth, non-drying, a little sticky, very transferable though. But the color is very rare; and I don't regret buying this. Actually me and my best friend shared to buy this (thanks my bff!! Love you!!), specially for Halloween night. It's a blood red color which suits me quite well. I love it so much!!

Did you know that red lipsticks could make our teeth look whiter? And it is one of the trickiest color to match with our daily wardrobe (bold red doesn't include pink!!). It won't look awkward if you're a famous red-carpet trotting artist, but when you're just a simple girl-next-door, it will look and definitely will feel awkward, unless you're wearing it for a romantic dinner or a formal event. I went bold these few days, and I tried to wear the lip cream as long as I can at the mall. I think it wasn't so bad when you're dressed like a rich brat...

I bought it for RM19 at Sephora (Bukit Bintang). Check it out!

First Time Face Spa at Beauty Map (Mid Valley)!

So here's the story. Me and my best friend decided to meet up after a few months. I was thinking about the perfect girly activity to do on the day we meet, and I found a spa discount voucher on the internet. We each bought a voucher and we went to the spa together on 1st November 2012 after making an arrangement for the appointment by phone.
When we walked in, everything was serene. We went into separate rooms and was consulted by different people. My consultant is very friendly and she really knows how to make me feel comfortable. She checked the condition of my skin after removing my makeup, and she asked me, what are my skin concerns. So I told her that my face is oily and I have pigmentation problems. After analyzing my skin using a special camera with white light, she said, "You have a very dry skin." And I was like, "what??"
She said that my skin is oily because it lacks moisture. My skin is actually giving me a signal that I'm not giving it enough moisture, so it produces extra oil to moisten the surface of my skin. However, the skin cells underneath the surface of my skin is dehydrated., so they become weak. I have to focus on hydrating now.
About the pigmentation problem, she asked me what kind of facial wash did I use, so I told her usually I will go for whitening products, because my mother's side of the family (aunts especially) have pigmentation problems, so I am afraid it might be in the genes. She told me that I do have pigmentation problem, but this is actually related to sun exposure instead of genetics. So I should remember to apply sunblock. SPF 15 is NOT ENOUGH for my skin. But I forgot how much SPF is needed to prevent pigmentation on my skin...

Well, the spa started with:

  • a back massage (which actually made my back ache instead of feeling better)
  • removal of makeup (she kept on asking me why do I wear so much makeup because my skin condition is good, but I said it was kind of like a hobby. Also, she asked about my new Nyx lipstick which is a dark blood red color. She told me that it's not easy to find lipstick of that color)
  • diamond peeling (it was kind of like a small vacuum machine with a filter in it to show how much dead cells it has accumulated after the vacuuming is done. Yep, I can see the difference after that; the laugh line on the first half of my face she did was not as deep as the one on the other half of my face. Also, my skin is brighter and it feels smoother and lighter)
  • steaming (she uses a machine to release hot steam on my face)
  • extraction (using the acne/blackhead remover, she tried to extract whatever's left inside my pores. She said there's not much left to extract after the diamond peeling though)
  • aloe vera mask (it is the gel type which is smothered on my entire face except for the sensitive areas. She asked me whether I want to add serum or not. She provided me with 2 choices; RM30 for 3ml serum or RM140 for 20ml serum. I took the 3ml serum. She added the serum to the gel on my face, and left it for around 5-10 minutes. While the mask is on, she put on a blue light on my skin which she claims to help with pigmentation problem)
And that's the end of it. It took around 2 hours. It was an okay experience. I was not allowed to put on any makeup after the facial for a few days though...

Nyx Eye Shadow Base Review

This is an eyeshadow base. It helps to make your eyeshadow look more vivid. Yep, this is a good quality product! Also, it can be used for costume makeup. Such as the geisha makeup. It makes your skin really white. I used this on Halloween a few days ago to get that pale undead effect, and it worked! I definitely love this product. See the picture below? This is the comparison of using Nyx eyeshadow base (top) and not using eyeshadow base (bottom). My purple eyeshadow is much, much more vibrant by using this!

However, I find that this doesn't work very well on extra-oily face. I went for Halloween with my friend, and her face is super-oily, so the eyeshadow base doesn't hold on to her skin for long. But on dry skin, it may crease. So my conclusion is that this is best used on normal skin type.

There are a couple more shades. I bought this at Sephora in Bukit Bintang for RM12, and this is the only white that is left! I have been looking all over for this, because Nyx isn't so popular among Malaysians yet, and I can only find it online. I was lucky! ^^

Efolar Mascara Volume Clubbing Review

This is Efolar Mascara Volume Clubbing. I LOVE this mascara! It's cheap (I bought in Uptown Seksyen 24 Shah Alam for RM10) and it is a high quality product!
It's like a lash extension; even though it clumps a bit but the effect is satisfactory. This is even better than Maybelline Hyper Volum' Express Mascara which eventually dries into nothing. I bought this mascara much, much longer before I bought Maybelline's but it still lasts until now, and it doesn't dry like how Maybelline's mascara did. I only added a few drops of Eye-mo solution to the tube and it's liquid again, and the texture is still as good as new. As for Maybelline's, even after drops of Eye-mo, it is still dry and eventually I can't use it anymore. This proves that even cheap items like this could beat an international brand. Salute to this mascara!!!
I really recommend this!! Happy shopping!!

Golden Horse Cosmetics

Have you ever heard of Golden Horse Cosmetics? It's not one of the top brands, but it's like a miracle cream. I can't believe it at first, but on the first application you can already see a big difference. But my skin is oily. Maybe I'll have to use the oily skin set.

I've been using the Golden Horse Best Cream. It helps in all kinds of ways; it lessens the excess oil, moisturizes, makes the skin feel soft and smooth, and best of all, it brightens the skin immediately! Oh, it can also be used as a foundation. Maybe it works like a tinted moisturizer, paste type. It is the best cream ever. But I must say, honestly, even though I love this cream, last time when I first bought it, I used it for nearly a month but by then my skin starts to break out. I have oily face but I don't have outbreaks. So it kind of shocked me. Then I stopped using it for more than half a year, and when I tried it again, I'm starting to love it all over again. This time I'm going to keep using it and see if the same thing happens again. If it does, I'll have to use the oily skin cream. Here's a picture of the cream I'm using:

And here's a photo of Bio Complex cream, for oily skin:

Here's what I'm planning to buy next:

They are not very expensive. They are listed in my list of under-budget products. :)

Broken Doll Makeup

I tried to upload the video but it won't upload so I kind of gave up. I'll just show you the end result. Tell me what you think!

The last picture is the makeup without the cracks. I still need to brush up on my skills. I will upload the Broken Doll Makeup video and Vampire Makeup video as soon as I possibly can (the thing won't upload! I tried compressing and everything but it doesn't work... The video is around 20minutes and I want to upload it into my blog. Can anyone tell me why there's always an error when I tried uploading the video? It's in .wmv format).

Vampire Makeup

I was free, so I decided to do something-- I made a video of my vampire makeup! It's weird all right, but I think it's quite an experience to have done such makeup on myself. Yeah, in case you are wondering, as far as I can remember, this is the first time I've tried vampire makeup. So cool! Check these out:

No need to grow fangs or buy the fakes! Just draw them on your lips! Looks realistic too right? But the problem is, the white eyeliner won't stick on my lips. I have to find a liner that sticks, smudge-proof and waterproof! Anyone can recommend any? Thanks! :D

Hair Chalk

How cool is this?? A new trend item in Malaysia! Hair chalk! It's chalk, also known as soft pastels, and you color your hair with it. It has a variety of colors, and they are easy to apply. When applied, the chalk will look something like this:

They can be fluorescent or dark, depends on the color you chose to apply. I think not many Malaysians know about this yet. And I think this is cool. But it will be a bit hard to do on dark hair-- you'll need to apply more to make it more vibrant. Examples on dark hair:

It all depends on the color! Try it! I bought it on eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet. It was delivered from Hong Kong, so it may take longer to arrive. Hopefully it'll arrive before Halloween! I'm planning to use it on Halloween. Oh, did I mention? This hair chalk is temporary. It'll come off after 2-3 times of shampooing. And it won't damage your hair! When I receive my hair chalk, I'll post pictures and I'll show you how to apply it on your hair. It's cheap, by the way. I bought 6 colors for RM19. I can't wait!! ^^
