♡ Makeup Day ♡ with Parkson's colleagues

A few weeks ago, I went out with my colleagues from Parkson... I don't know about them, but I surely had a great and fun time doing their makeup and hanging out with them!!
Also, they were actually my secret test subjects, I want to become a makeup artist! XD
Here are some before and after shots:

I have another colleague that I did her makeup too, unfortunately I didn't get a clear BEFORE picture, and her makeup (AFTER picture) was not clear in the picture (bad lighting). Sorry I couldn't include her in these reference pics!

But here are the picture of the four of us:

Also some not-to-miss shots:

We brought everything we had... Amateur makeup junk XD

I envy my colleague's eyeshadow palette >.<

Focus is on Parkson's plastic bag!

Let's go travelling!

The bunny girl!

The too-happy-to-care ribbon girl....

I have nothing to say here XD

That tired look on her face...

Epic photobomb!

To those who read Dragon Ball... TRANSFORM!!! (Becomes the one in the middle)

This pretty collage is made by my friend... That second picture was when I was picking out which ribbon is worth buying XD
Thanks to her, I get two ribbons! She got them for me ^^

It was an amazing outing.
Let's do it again, girls! (‐^▽^‐)

Cosmoderm Vitamin E 3000 I.U Cream Review

Vitamin E is really a great help for the skin. So is rosehip oil. Both known for their abilities to repair damaged skin and restore its lost youthfulness. Before using this cream, My skin was dry, and is always prone to flaking, even though it was quite oily. When I first started using this, the cream doesn't feel so good on my skin on the first application, but as I'm massaging the cream into my skin, it felt better and better. After I'm done applying the cream and massaging it in, I can say that this cream actually makes my skin more hydrated and it feels as if I've just worn a hydration mask. It is amazing, doesn't make the skin break out, makes my skin feel smooth and supple, and recent acne scars fade in a week. Also, it is a pretty good makeup base. My makeup stays longer while my skin still feels moisturized and protected. It's a great feeling (Trust me, I'm a makeup freak).
I recommend this cream to people with dry, scaly, flaky and dehydrated skin, sensitive skin, combination skin and normal skin. People with oily skin might not like the oiliness that builds up over time.

Starting from this review onwards, I'm going to give a 1 to 10 rating, a how-to guide, show pros and cons and its eligibility of repurchasing.

How to Use:
After removing makeup, thoroughly wash the face and apply toner. Then, smother a coin-sized cream all over face, and massage it in for 1 minute.

Pros:
  • Doesn't make the skin break out
  • Helps fade recent acne scars in a week
  • Great moisturizer for dry and dehydrated skin, so no more scaly skin!
  • After massaging face with the cream, skin looks and feels plump (with moisture)
  • Easy to use
  • Can use on other parts of the body too
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • No offensive smell
  • A surprisingly good makeup base
  • Hypo-allergenic
  • Not tested on animals
  • 100% plant-based ingredients
Cons:
  • Quite oily, since it contains rosehip oil
  • Takes a very long time to diminish wrinkles and old scars
  • Has no noticeable effect on freckles

OVERALL RATING: 7 out of 10
REPURCHASING: MAYBE

Rice Milk Soap by K. Brothers Review

Sooo, today I will be sharing about this rice milk soap---

These are K. Brothers Rice Milk Soaps. These are herbal moisturizing soaps which are enriched with vitamin B. It claims to be able to lighten and even out skin tone, get rid of acne or pimples WITHOUT any side effects. You can use it all over your body and face, and is suited for all skin types. Sounds pretty good, no?

I'm using the purple one, it's a rice milk+collagen soap. Why collagen? Well, my skin has actually changed from oily to dry, so wrinkles appear even more than just subtle. Maybe it's because of the change in hormones as I am entering my "adult phase"... Well anyway, this soap has a really pleasing smell of rice (duh), and really foamy! I use it twice a day, morning and night. On my first usage, my skin was tingly and it stings a little during & after using it. I have no idea why. Maybe because of the acidic (or alkaline) property of the soap? Well, it only stings on the first use. The next day, it was fine. but mind you, the soap is NOT tear-free, it stings like hell when it gets into my eyes (or nose!). So be careful... But it removes make-up better than normal make-up remover. Seriously.

Overall, after using this for a 3-4 days, I do notice some improvements on my skin. I notice the reduction of wrinkles around my nose area, and my skin became slightly whiter. And when I use it with Vitamin E cream, my skin just GLOWS. I love it.

Oh yes, Vitamin E is really a good food for the skin! I'll talk about that later in my next post. またね!

Fuyuki Kuroda, my new Japanese sim :3

This is my new sim, Fuyuki Kuroda! She is a traditional Japanese ninja-like person.. in the modern days. Well, she wears kimono for her everyday and formal wear, and hakama for her athletic outfit.  She inspires to be an international super spy (a ninja I guess? I really hope one day EA will make a Japanese EP...).

However I do not plan on uploading her yet, but maybe I will when I get to make another sim soon. So keep your fingers crossed!

Mochi-Making

Tried to make mochi using glutinous rice flour (can't find sweet glutinous rice powder).
I boiled half a pot of water n put them in (like making "buah Melaka") and waited for it to rise up and scooped them out, and rolled them around in tapioca powder+fine sugar mix. Oh, I did add some fine sugar with the glutinous rice flour, just to give a little hint of sweetness.

This is how it turns out. Doesn't taste so bad, but it's really plain. I should've stuffed them with peanut or something. It's also a little too chewy. Of course, I did make this out of boredom so I don't expect much. -_-

But I'll try harder next time. Mochi-making is really not as easy as we all think! We need the right ingredients to make it. Please don't follow this weird recipe. This is just to share my awkwardness in the kitchen. Should any Japanese chef read this, please DO tell me how to make mochi the right way!

How To Be A Supervisor: According to my research

30 March 2013-- interview
31 March 2013-- submitted job application
1 April 2013-- job confirmed
2 April 2013-- got uniform
4 April 2013-- start working

Boy, that escalated pretty quickly.

Who knew someone like me could get a job as a supervisor?? Now that I'm going to supervise people, I'll have to (at least) act more adult-like. According to my research, a supervisor is really like a mentor to those under her. She sets the goal, inspires & motivates people, guides them to success by teaching & training them, able to understand the situation and people around her, and finally, provides opportunities for future growth and advancement by developing their skills and way of thinking.

In short, a supervisor is actually someone who can influence & inspire people!

That is actually a big *whack* on my head. Ever since then, I keep on doing research on how to be more charismatic. This is really teaching me something in life, that is, to be more sociable (I'm a super-introvert). This is definitely hard for me, however, I will do my best. Having this in my resume's job history is going to give a big boost in my career life. Hopefully, I won't screw this up. But even if I do, I promise I will make my way thorough, and who knows, I may actually reach the top.

Being a supervisor is actually pretty simple-- IF it is put into words. Doing it is a completely different thing.

The tasks for a supervisor includes:

  • Orient & train your people
  • Assign work for them
  • Evaluate their performance
  • Reward their performance (this is going to be hard for me)
  • Resolve complaints
  • Discipline & dismiss employees
  • Approving time records and requests for time off
  • Delegating

A supervisor has to be sharp and alert to her surroundings. The best way is by taking interest in others (my weakest point, since I just dislike being interested in other people's business). But since I have no interest in whatever, I'll at least train myself to be interested in others' jobs. Leave out personal matters and just take interest in their jobs, not them. Still, the underlings will have to have good relationship with the supervisor, so they can cooperate when a superior has them in chokehold.
So, as a mentor, just give them TLC like they are our own children (even if they are older than you). However, don't forget to DISCIPLINE THEM. They are just like spoiled brats, in need for TLC & a building critics. So just read up about anger management (you know what this means) and how to influence people to do something in our favor (NOT taking advantage, mind you). This actually refers to asking people to do something that brings benefits to both parties, and expressing that to them in words.

One more thing, a supervisor has to do delegating work (do superior's work). That is obtained through experience, so since I'm going to start working tomorrow, I'll post anything and everything as a reminder to myself and the readers.

Here's a picture of me in my interview clothes!

I did the tie myself after watching my brother's unsuccessful attempts! XDDD

Diary 1.0

I know I can do anything as long as I put my mind to it, and I will give my all to achieve my dreams. It will not be a waste of time. I promised myself that since I made up my mind that I'm going to make my dream come true. I'll inspire everyone that I know (and who knows me). However I'm not doing this for anyone--not that they are of no importance to me, it's just that I want to let them see me make it (and that I am not talking crap) and get that into their thick heads.. I will try--no--do my very best! I am going to stop quitting just because things aren't going well. This time, I'm going all out--time to put everything I learned all these years to good use! Even if I fail, I will keep trying. I WILL KEEP GOING FORWARD TO ACHIEVE MY DREAMS.

So just in case you think that's impossible, try to read the above passage again and understand that you are just a coward who is a pessimist, or you may think of yourself as a realist, but it makes no difference that you are just afraid to take that leap of faith. Failure is a lesson in life. If this makes no sense to you, by all means, sir, read every word and check in the dictionary. Understand? D.I.C.T.I.O.N.A.R.Y.

My Moustache

Hey! Look! I love this thing ❤ It helps to keep my darned earphones from tangling up!

Here it is: my little moustache. Found it at a novelty shop in One Utama!

The last picture is a little disturbing... HAHAHAHA.

"I moustache you a question, but I'm shaving it for later."
Who said that???

What I use on my face

I use these, right after a shower!

From left: Za Total Hydration Moisturizing Milk
The Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel
Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion

Za Total Hydration Moisturizing Milk is okay-- it's a little sticky after application. I bought this to go with the lotion (Hada Labo's moisturizing milk is too expensive T_T). It focuses on oil control & moisturizing.
I really need to switch to other kind of eye gel because this one doesn't do much except cooling and refreshing the eyes. I have dark undereye circles & eyebags, and this Body Shop product doesn't help at all in those senses.
I'm still using the Hada Labo lotion that I reviewed several months ago. Without it, I think my wrinkles will be worse than it is now.

Ever since I went to the spa and she told me that my skin is really very dry, I started looking for moisturizing products. Come to think of it, dry=wrinkles. Wrinkles=old. No wonder my little brother's friend thought I was his mother. Well, I already have wrinkles in my early 20s, so that explains it. T_T

My Makeup Junks

I cleared up my makeup box, threw away things I never really used (the cheap ones only) and here are my makeup stuff... Just sharing!

Sorry, my phone's camera is crappy! 2MP only! Maybe I should get a personal camera for myself...

Forever Alone

Phew! I got a little worked up over my blog today. I guess it's all good now. I added some personal details in the "About The Author" page.

You know, I have been a little lonely these days. Perhaps it's time for me to go out and make friends, or work? But as soon as I think about SUNLIGHT and RL PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND MY INTERNET HUMOR, I just can't take it. It's tooooooo goddamn scary!!! ಥ_ಥ

Nevertheless, I have doubts on whether my dad would let me go around town on my own. I have the feeling that he doesn't want me to make any friends for his own selfish sake. Well, if you know about my past, you will understand. But really, I MAY DIE FROM BOREDOM AND LONELINESS!!! So please someone save me~~~

I AM WATCHING YOUUU~~~

I have decided that I will start following other blogs too! I just realized that there are many interesting blogs and that I have been too ignorant! So look out! You'll probably see my name everywhere soon! \(^◡^ )

Blog Revamp!

I can't sleep (my eyebags are getting worse... T^T), so I decided to make my blog look better with new widgets and non-scrolling background (I just noticed that it makes me dizzy). So for the sake of me not going cross-eyed while blogging, I fixed that. I hope my blog looks better than before!

Now I think I want to share some itsy-bitsy things I've learned while fixing my blog. Here are some that might help other bloggers:

First of all, go to Layout->Template Design->Advanced->Add CSS
And then just add these code below for the respective functions!

Code to align blog image to the center:

#Header1_headerimg {margin:0 auto;}

Code to align title description to the center:

.descriptionwrapper{

text-align: center;

}

Code to align page lists to the center:

.PageList {text-align:center !important;}

COSPLAY MAKEUP: Gensomaden Saiyuki Genjyo Sanzo's Droopy Eyes!

Hey, hey! today, I came up with an idea for future cosplaying--- as Genjyo Sanzo from Gensomaden Saiyuki! I tried to find via internet on Genjyo Sanzo's makeup tips and tricks, but I can't find anything. So I decided to try by myself, and of course, research via Google images XD I tried to study the cosplayers makeup a lot, zoomed in and out, and looking at different angles of Sanzo from the anime itself, in order to recreate Sanzo's droopy-eyed effect.
So, why Genjyo Sanzo?
Simply because he's my favorite anime character. He's got attitude and he has something to hold on to (his principle). However, I can't use him as an idol or I'll end up whacking everybody's head using the harisen XD

Here are some pictures of him (take note of his eyes):

So, my eyes without makeup look like this...

Going cross-eyed after many picture-taking without glasses....

Here are some pictures after my first try:
(no makeup except for the eyeliner and baby powder (my skin was too damn shiny), sorry if you are disturbed by the imperfections :P)

I'm wearing circle lenses, so my iris is a little too big. I had to wear them (they're the only pair left) because I can't see a thing without my glasses!

Really fugly, but who cares... Right?

Front view. My eyebags are unbeatable.

At an angle...

Iris going sideways.....

Fugly, but just to show that the droopy-eyed look is somewhat achieved.
I lined half of my upper eyelid with black pencil eyeliner and I smudged them throughout the outer half of my upper eyelid. Then I lined a little below my lashline using the same black pencil eyeliner. Of course, to make it stay longer, use waterproof gel or liquid eyeliner for the bottom part and use black eyeshadow for the upper eyelid, or any other alternatives that you know of. Remember to fill in the gap between your lower eyelid and the eyeliner with white eyeliner.

More pictures after adjusting my hair, however I don't have blonde hair so anyone please photoshop these for me XD

ATTENTION!!! I DO NOT SMOKE!!! THAT'S A WHITE EYELINER CAP.

Sorry, seems like a bunch of shots with the same angles, but these are the best shots, I hope they're enough to make you see the droopy-eyed effect!!

Oh, wait! There's another one!!

Whoops! Haha! Don't take it too seriously! Just having fun! (─‿‿─)

Hope these pictures can be a small guide for those who are planning to cosplay as Sanzo, the droopy-eyed monk! And good luck doing so!!!

P/S: I know that I can improve the look a lot but I just want to emphasize on the droopy-eyed effect this time! If any of you have any tips and tricks for cosplaying please tell me! I need guidance because this will be my first cosplay! Thank you for your support!
